Intersport Awareness Campaign
The Intersport campaign was a new awareness initiative promoting several of the sports brands they represent. The client provided only a static poster featuring two runners, with no motion assets and no experience producing short video banner ads. My role was to transform this single static image into a dynamic, multi‑format video campaign suitable for some of the largest outdoor screens in Germany - including the iconic Whale in Hamburg and the Kudamm screens in Berlin.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge was turning a static poster into a believable short video while preserving the original look. Using AI, I recreated the background as a moving environment and added subtle motion to the runners and supporting elements.
Designing for massive outdoor LED screens introduced additional complexity. The Whale in Hamburg - one of the largest screens in Europe - has strict technical limitations. Many dynamic ideas, including 3D elements, were rejected by the screen operator. The final creative had to be extremely simple, yet still visually memorable.
The Solution
I developed a clean, minimal motion concept that respected all technical constraints while still elevating the original static image. The AI‑generated background provided gentle movement without overwhelming the composition. Typography, brand logos, and the anniversary badge were animated with subtle transitions to maintain clarity on ultra‑large displays.
Technologies Used
Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AI‑assisted video generation
Final Result
The final campaign delivered a clean, dynamic, and technically compliant motion adaptation of the original poster. Despite the limitations, the visuals remained strong and memorable across all formats. The client was very satisfied with the outcome, especially with how the ads performed on the Whale in Hamburg - a landmark screen seen by thousands daily. The campaign successfully increased brand visibility across multiple major German cities.
